Forest bathing is a high-quality nature experience that perfectly reflects the spirit of the Ritten: sustainable, relaxing, inspiring, and scientifically grounded. Forest bathing – also known as “Shinrin Yoku” – is a health practice originating in Japan. It involves mindfully and consciously immersing oneself in the atmosphere of the forest to strengthen body and mind and reduce stress. The focus is on slow walking, pausing, and engaging all the senses in experiencing nature. Studies show that forest bathing can strengthen the immune system, lower blood pressure, and enhance overall well-being – all without bath slippers or hugging trees.
For groups of 4 or more, forest bathing can also be booked on other dates.
