Art Exhibition by Verena Lucchesini
The painting exhibition "Grand Opening" opens at Verena Lucchesini's atelier at Via S. Quirino / Sankt-Quirinus-Gasse 6a in Bolzano/Bozen, with an introduction by architect Enrico Farina.
Verena Lucchesini lives and works in Bolzano/Bozen. She graduated with top honours in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, with a thesis entitled "Myth, Symbol and Painting" – a theme that has shaped her creative research ever since. Her works feature large-scale portraits, fairy-tale landscapes hovering between the familiar and the surreal, and animal subjects drawn into a dimension that is both fantastical and real. In the works on display, nature and the relationship between humans and animals are explored and symbolically reinterpreted through colour. Reality, surreality and myth are the recurring threads of her practice, marked by precise technique, a bold material surface, and close-up compositions as a defining stylistic signature.
