The Arcis Saxophone Quartet from Munich is one of the most active classical ensembles in the world, named after the Arcisstraße near the Königsplatz – the street where it all began, fifteen years ago. From the highest pass in Ecuador to the deserts of Saudi Arabia, from Atlantic clifftops to sold-out performances at the Philharmonie in Munich and Berlin, the four saxophonists feel at home wherever their music takes them. Experimental, artistically curious and remarkably versatile, they always retain their unmistakable sound.
With the programme "Quirky Nightclub Chronicles" they bring the vibe of the coolest nightclubs into the concert hall: hot rhythms, fresh sounds and captivating stories that linger long after the last note. Creative arrangements, powerful interpretations and a touch of eccentricity make classical music not just something to hear, but something to feel throughout the body. An evening poised between club and concert hall, drawing on classical, minimal and rock influences – a musical adventure for lovers of classical music and curious newcomers alike.
