It is the first event in Europe to taste exceptionally exquisite products with a single glass of wine. The event, which combines the exquisite world of wine and culinary, offers the ideal atmosphere for producers, specialists and enthusiasts.
The Merano WineFestival is considered one of the most exclusive events in the world of wine. Its philosophy is to present only the very best wines and specialities, selected by tasting commissions from hundreds of wineries worldwide. Originally, the event took place over three days in November, but it has now been extended to five or six days.
The festival also includes "bio&dynamica" and "Culinaria". The former is a tasting journey dedicated to organic, biodynamic, and natural wines. It also features PIWI grape varieties, orange and amphora wines, as well as non-alcoholic, low-alcohol, and underwater-aged wines. "Culinaria", on the other hand, is a journey through top-quality gastronomic products, fine spirits, and selected craft beers.
