Monkey off My Back or the Cat’s Meow

Prior to the opening of HOPE, Museion and Transart jointly present the most comprehensive performance to date, Monkey off My Back or The Cat's Meow by Trajal Harrell. In the 2021 production and choreography, 17 dancers and actors from the Schauspielhaus Zürich Dance Ensemble celebrate the unifying power of community. Inspired by political gatherings as ecstatic moments where people share their beliefs and ideas of a not-yet, an infectious, empowering and moving manifestation of hope and happiness as active emotions leading out of darkness emerges.
