Guided by Andrea Bovo, we will discover Portugal’s most iconic and classic cheeses. The tasting includes renowned sheep’s milk cheeses such as Queijo Serra da Estrela and Queijo de Serpa, as well as raw cow’s milk cheeses like Queijo São Jorge. A special highlight is Queijo de Azeitão, produced in the Setúbal region, where sheep’s milk is coagulated using thistle. These are just some of the many Queijos we will explore.
Portuguese wines will be paired with the cheeses. Have you ever tasted Arinto or Avesso? Sofia and Martin, young winegrowers and oenologists from Villa Seara in Braga near Porto, will present their native grape varieties and bring their wines directly from Portugal.
