On July 14, the Orfeo Music Festival presents The Orfeo Grand Finale, a fireworks closing concert of operatic brilliance, virtuoso display, and festive musical energy. The evening features rising opera star Yury Kopyrin in a vocal program that travels from Italian Baroque grace to Russian romance, salon song, and operatic drama. Another major highlight is Ilan Schneider, principal violist of the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra, bringing his formidable artistry to Waxman’s dazzling Carmen Fantasie. The program also features virtuoso violinist Routa Kroumovitch in Saint-Saëns’s brilliant Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso, and virtuoso pianist Kirill Gliadkovsky in the beloved Rachmaninoff Prelude. The evening includes the presentation of The Cohen Family First Prize Award, celebrating exceptional young artistry, along with a festive appearance by the Orfeo Festival Ensemble. A fitting finale to Orfeo’s first season in Bressanone, this concert brings together glamour, lyricism, virtuosity, and the thrill of a grand musical celebration.
