Disunited Nations

Screening and live stream with Francesca Albanese
In March 2024, Francesca Albanese, United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories, denounced a genocide in Gaza. This documentary follows her steps through missions, institutional meetings, and political pressures, taking us to the heart of the UN crisis, confronted with its inability to prevent the massacre of civilians.
Through interviews, archival footage, and behind-the-scenes insights into diplomatic work, the film portrays the delicate balance between international law, information, and power, showing how the UN and the global community appear increasingly divided in the face of the conflict.
The United Nations were established at the time when, in 1947, the Partition Plan for Palestine was decided. Today, the Palestinian issue is the ultimate test: will the organization endure, or will it emerge irreversibly weakened?
